eSACS Virtual School (Grades 6-12) Interest Form  Fall 24-25 Semester (New Families Only)
Please complete this form if you are interested in applying to eSACS Virtual School (Grades 6-12) for the Fall semester of the 2024-2025 school year. Returning/Current students DO NOT have to fill out this form.

Students who are considering this option need to be self-disciplined and motivated to succeed independently.

Each class consists of sequential modules which are only unlocked on Mondays, after the student has fully completed the work assigned during the previous week.  Some courses have required due dates throughout the week, but for the most part, students can work at their own pace, receiving instruction and completing their assignments any time of the day or night. All work must be completed and submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday of that same week. Student attendance in the virtual school is based on making academic progress throughout the week. There is a very firm late work policy, and students cannot earn points on assignments turned in more than a week after the Friday deadline, so the ability to stay on task and maintain the necessary pacing is essential. Teachers in the Virtual High School are available to provide assistance to their students via email and Canvas Messaging, Monday through Friday. Teachers also are available during office hours, which meet once a week to provide students with personal instruction and assistance via Zoom conferencing.

This type of online learning allows flexibility for non-traditional learners and easily accommodates different learning styles, as students can often "choose their own adventure" when it comes to the order they wish to cover material and how deep to dive into a given topic. It is often called location independent learning, because students can access the course from anywhere in the world thanks to the internet. Individual pacing is another benefit of this type of program. Learners can spend more time on challenging areas and move quickly through topics they learn more easily. The most obvious benefit to this type of learning is flexibility, which allows non-traditional students to balance family, work, and school in a way that works for their schedules. However, students must fully participate in the experience and complete their weekly assignments by the due dates, so that they can successfully acquire all of the content knowledge and skills that must be obtained prior to the end of the semester.

Please note: There is no graduation ceremony held after the completion of the senior year.

Please discuss this virtual education option as a family.
